Fabulous Places for Brunch in York (and Bottomless Brunch!) – As you might imagine, there is a fantastic array of places for brunch in York. I have selected a few for you here, with different styles of offerings from laid back, cosy and artisanal to fizz-fuelled high jinx over a bottomless brunch. The Brunch Club
Hosted at The Biltmore, 29 Swinegate, York, YO1 8AZ
The Brunch Club are running one off Bottomless Brunch events throughout the year. They are all themed such as an Abba Bottomless Brunch, a Magical (Disney inspired) Bottomless Brunch and an Ibiza Classics Bottomless Brunch. The events last three hours and include a brunch dish and bottomless drinks for one of the hours. Depending which you go for you can expect a DJ and even performances and singalongs.

Impossible York

Impossible York is housed in the beautiful building that what was originally Terry’s Chocolate shop in St Helen’s Square. As well as breakfast, lunch and dinner, they also do a weekend bottomless brunch. This consists of your choice of small plate and side from a set menu, as well as 90 minutes of bottomless drinks that includes gin cocktails, prosecco and beer.

Rehab Bar
7-9, Piccadilly, York YO1 9PB
You will find Rehab Bar on Piccadilly. They serve brunch until 4pm, with dishes such as a Full English Breakfast (Sausage, Back Bacon, Egg, Five Beans, Roast Cherry Tomato, Black Pudding Hash, Toasted Sourdough), Pancakes with Nutella and Condensed Milk, Eggs Florentine, Smoked Salmon and Smashed Avocado. They serve hot drinks as well as cocktails. They also have an escape room in their basement!

Jimmy’s
52 Low Petergate, York YO1 7HZ
Jimmy’s is bar and restaurant on Petergate, in York. They have two floors each with dining areas and bars, as well as an outdoor covered and heated courtyard. They serve breakfast and brunch from 10am until 3pm and then a ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll BBQ’ in the evening. On a weekend they serve a bottomless brunch. You can drink unlimited Martini, Jimmy’s Lager, Prosecco and Gin and Tonics. The Bottomless Brunch menu includes:
6 Hour Smoked Pork Benedict
English Muffin, Poached Eggs and Hollandaise
All Day Breakfast
Martini, Jimmy’s Lager, Prosecco and Gin and Tonic

The Botanist

The Botanist have a fresh new offering for brunch that you can upgrade to bottomless brunch if you would like (and what’s not to like?). You choose a dish from six different sections of the menu – each section has three options. Think items like:

Cumberland sausage wheel
and maple streaky bacon

with dill, capers and flatbread

Dyl’s
Dyl’s Café & Bar, Skeldergate Bridge, York, YO1 9WJ
Dyl’s is a contemporary café & bar situated in the iconic Motor House on Skeldergate Bridge, overlooking the River Ouse and Clifford’s Tower. The brunch menu includes such loveliness as a Crispy Bacon Sandwich, Vegan Blueberry Overnight Oats and Homemade Cinnamon Brioche French Toast. It’s a gorgeous, quirky building too! We recently visited and I can recommend the ‘three cheese & jalapeno kicker with caramelised onion chutney served on Haxby sourdough’ – it was divine!
Brunch is available from 10am-3.30pm daily and from 9am on a Saturday & Sunday.
Brew & Brownie

The Ivy in York do a Saturday and Sunday Brunch (and bank holidays). The restaurant itself is a beautiful art deco inspired space. With options like Truffle Arancini, Zucchini fritti, Eggs Benedict and Avocado Benedict, as well as Hot Buttermilk Pancakes for those (like me) with a sweet tooth!
Slug and Lettuce Riverside – Bottomless Brunch York

Slug and Lettuce do a Bottomless Brunch in York at Riverside and Back Swinegate. You will need to prebook. For just £28 per person indulge in selected brunch dishes and enjoy unlimited glasses of Prosecco, Mimosas, Aperol Spritz, Bloody Marys, Pints of Amstel, Virgin Marys or selection of soft drinks for two hours! Available every day. You can enjoy favourites like the full English breakfast or ‘Pancakes’ – five American pancakes, topped with a Prosecco, vodka mango and passionfruit compote.

Located on Micklegate, Partisan serve both breakfast and brunch. Treat yourself to French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Smashed Avocado and Melted Goats Cheese or the fabulous Partisan Breakfast.

Source has lots of vegan and vegetarian brunch menu options like a vegan brunch stack, avocado on toast or vegetarian Huevos Rancheros. Non veggie brunch options include ‘Brisket Benedict’ – a 72 hour brisket and bbq sauce served on sourdough with freshly poached eggs.

Dishes include a Baked Moroccan Breakfast, Breakfast Brioche, Vegan Avocado Sourdough and a Brunch Burger.
Tank And Paddle
Merchant Exchange, Bridge St, York YO1 6DD
Homed in a former merchants building in the heart of York, The Tank and Paddle is a cool vintage styled craft beer joint. While retaining the original industrial charm of the building we have created a new balcony that is a real sun trap for those summer days and nights.
Brunch options include a double sausage and egg muffin topped with a hash brown, a full English, American style pancakes with bacon and honey, porridge and smoothies.
O’Neills – Boozy Brunch
