This week we were invited to try out the Bottomless Aperitivo at Prezzo in York.  We visited the Clifford Street restaurant but the one up at Vangarde does it too.

Prezzo Bottomless Aperitivo Review

It’s £35 and you get one course from a set menu as well as unlimited drinks for two hours.  Drinks include beer (Birrificio Angelo Poretti), Prosecco, and a choice of nine different cocktails.  I tried as many cocktails as I could (just for the photos, you understand…!).

Bottomless Aperitivo at Prezzo - Review

There were four of us, so we tried four different dishes.  I loved the look of Prezzo’s Antipasto plate, that came with Italian cured meats, mozzarella, olives and garlic bread.

Another friend tried the calamari, served with a pesto mayo.

My husband likes pizza so chose the Pizza Twist served with a dip of your choice:

While I chose the classic meatballs:

Which was very tasty.  I think if we visited again, my husband would choose the meatballs instead – or you can upgrade to a full pizza for £10 extra.   Ok, onto the drinks!  What did we try?  Well, we started off with glasses of Prosecco:

Then moved onto the lovely cocktails!  I tried the Pornstar Martini which was served with a shot of Prosecco:

While my friend tried the Morello Cherry Sour:

We also tried the Peach Bellini (Prosecco with peach puree):

The Strawberry and Bergamot Spritz, which was the only one I didn’t like, but I don’t like tonic water and hadn’t noticed it contained tonic!  It wasn’t an issue though as I swapped drinks with my friend!

The Blood Orange and Peach Spritz:

We really enjoyed the bottomless aperitivo at Prezzo.  Delicious drinks and a very generous two hour allowance (when many are just 90 minutes).

We were invited to visit and review, but as always, all opinions expressed are my own.
