If you’re looking for a bottomless brunch in York that’s a little bit different, The Silver Spur on Bridge Street is definitely one to put on your list.
With its Wild West-inspired décor, country music, cocktails and indulgent American-style food, it’s not your typical brunch setting — and that’s exactly what makes it so much fun.
We visited for the bottomless brunch, which costs £40 per person and lasts for 90 minutes. That includes your brunch dish and bottomless drinks, with regular top-ups throughout the session.
The table was set up when we arrived with cowboy hats and heart sunglasses for everyone at the table, which made for some great photos!
Before I get into the food and drink, I must mention that we visited on a Saturday when there are guided (fun!) line dancing sessions, where everyone is encouraged (but not forced!) to join in. If it’s not your thing, you can watch from a safe distance!
After the line dancing we had live music which I really enjoyed and would definitely return for even without the brunch.
The food
I opted for the chilli dog, which felt like the perfect choice for Silver Spur.
It’s exactly the kind of hearty, indulgent food you want when you’re having a boozy brunch rather than trying to be sensible! The American-style menu is packed with comfort food, so there’s plenty to choose from if hot dogs aren’t your thing.

As well as gluten free and vegan pizzas, meaning this is definitely a brunch for people who like their food filling rather than dainty.
90 minutes of bottomless drinks
Of course, the main attraction is the drinks. You can choose from cowboy themed cocktails, Prosecco and these two pint beers!
The bottomless brunch lasts 90 minutes, and one of the things I particularly liked was that the drinks were topped up regularly rather than having to spend ages trying to attract someone’s attention.
It meant there was no awkward sitting around wondering when the next drink was coming — the top-ups were regular and kept the afternoon flowing nicely.
If you opt for Prosecco, the whole bottle is brought to your table, meaning you can top up whenever you want too!
At £40 per person, you’re paying for the combination of your meal, the 90-minute bottomless drinks and the overall experience. For a special occasion or a day out with friends, I think it represents pretty good value, particularly if you make the most of the full 90 minutes.
Bottomless Brunch at The Silver Spur, York
Silver Spur is definitely somewhere you go for the atmosphere as much as the food.
The Wild West theme gives it a fun, slightly theatrical feel and makes it stand out from the many other places offering brunch in York. It feels much more like an afternoon out than simply going for something to eat.
It would be particularly good for birthdays, hen parties, celebrations or just a catch-up with friends when you fancy doing something a bit different.
The £40 price tag might be more than you’d spend on a normal brunch in York, but this isn’t really a normal brunch. You get 90 minutes of bottomless drinks, regular top-ups and a substantial brunch dish, all in a fun setting right in the city centre.
The whole experience felt relaxed and sociable rather than rushed.
If you’re planning a day out in York and fancy combining food and drinks with a lively atmosphere, Silver Spur’s bottomless brunch is well worth considering.
Just remember — 90 minutes sounds like plenty of time when you arrive. It goes surprisingly quickly!
