Bottomless Brunch at Impossible York, Review. At the weekend we visited Impossible York for the first time. The building itself is beautiful, and was originally where Terry’s sold their chocolate in York. You can really dine in style amidst the high ceilings and glorious wood panelling.
Check out the glorious staircases:
And this amazing domed ceiling:
It’s a truly beautiful building inside. If you are more of an al fresco person, they do have lots of tables outside in St Helen’s Square where there are invariable street performers to entertain you and a myriad of opportunities for people watching going on.
We visited to review the bottomless brunch offering. It’s served every weekend from 12 until 3pm, and includes bottomless Prosecco, Gin Cocktails, White or Rose Wine, Bottled Beer, and soft drinks.
We indulged (some might say over-indulged!!) in these delicious gin cocktails. They looked beautiful and tasted even better. I am normally a Prosecco gal and was planning to switch to Prosecco after my initial cocktail. Nope – that didn’t happen. After the first of these beauties, it was gin cocktails all the way!
Food-wise you could choose one small plate from the following:
Cauliflower wings and Tzatziki
Honey and Soy Chicken Wings
Halloumi and Chilli Jam
Bratwurst Hot Dog
Then have a side of either skinny fries (truffle or plain) or a Wonder salad.
We each chose a different dish. One of my friend’s chose the Bratwurst Hot Dog:
While my other friend chose the Halloumi and Chilli Jam:
Both looked fabulous, but I think I won with my (not that) small plate of Honey and Soy Chicken Wings:
And a portion of truffle fries:
Do check out the Impossible York website because they also run other events like a Burlesque Night and Drag Bottomless Brunch.
What did we think? We were very impressed. Friendly staff, gorgeous surroundings, great food and delicious, free flowing drinks. What’s not to love? You can thank me later!
