I have done a few of the food and drink tasting tours in York recently, so I thought I would put a quick post together linking to the ones I have reviewed recently.
Gin Tasting at York Distillery with York Gin
Middletons Hotel, Cromwell Rd, York YO1 6DS
York Gin offer fabulous gin tastings at their dedicated York Distillery in the grounds of Middletons Hotel on Skeldergate. It’s a lively and sociable session where you learn all about the history of York Gin’s six types of gin and get to try each one! The session starts with a welcome drink and ends with a full size G&T with the gin of your choice.

Rum Tasting at Villain’s Rum
Villain’s Rum offer a fun and theatrical rum tasting session at their shop in Little Stonegate. You get to hear all about the villains of York while tasting rums dedicated to their memories. From Dick Turpin to Guy Fawkes. A great fun activity, perfect for a group of friends.
You can read our full review of Villain’s Rum here.

Gin Tasting at The Hooting Owl
The Hooting Owl run two gin tours, a shorter one during the day and a longer full tour in the evening. We recently tried out the daytime tour. It’s fun, lighthearted and entertaining (and there will be plenty of gin, so you will be very merry afterwards!).

Chocolate and Gin Tasting at York’s Chocolate Story
The Chocolate and Gin Tasting Tour at York’s Chocolate Story combines (most of) the regular classic tour with the addition of gin and chocolate pairings. The gin is from Hooting Owl who have a fabulous bar on Rougier Street where you can do more gin tasting if you would like.
