Are you looking for a unique and special way to get into the Christmas spirit this year?
Join us for a festive wreath making class! Our experienced instructor will teach you how to create a traditional moss-based wreath, with luxurious foliage and natural embellishments. All tools and materials will be included, along with full tuition!
Tickets are £45 each and must be booked online here.
We ask that you don’t bring anything additional to add to your wreath.
The price includes a hot drink and cake before the class starts, with the opportunity to purchase a glass of prosecco on arrival.
Wreath Making Workshop at Castle Howard
27th – 28th November 2023
Spend a beautiful afternoon getting crafty and creative at Castle Howard and take away your own hand-crafted Christmas wreath. This practical workshop is led by Laura Newby from Belle Blooms Florists in York, and part of our expert Christmas team.
Enjoy Laura’s expert guidance, and craft a beautiful wreath in time for Christmas using materials foraged from the Castle Howard Estate. A glass of Nyetimber Classic Cuvee is included to add some sparkle to your experience.
Tickets include entry to the House and Gardens, so you can take inspiration from our Christmas in Neverland installations, and from the beautiful natural colours and textures in our wintry Grounds. Please make sure to visit the House and Gardens first, before your workshop start time.
A Crafty Christmas at Bedern Hall in York

Create a beautiful Christmas wreath at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, using wiring techniques with a range of plant materials such as bark, berries, foliage, fruits and flowers. We’ll spend the second half of the day finalising our wreaths, with a short demonstration of how to make a Christmas tree using poppy seeds, pine cones, beechnuts and more.
