Batanga Mexican Restaurant

Batanga Mexican Restaurant is down a little alley off Fossgate, underneath the Korean restaurant, Oshibi. It’s a tiny restaurant with just a few tables, which helps give it a friendly feel. I have to say the food was fabulous.

Mexicano’s Facebook page says that they are a “fun Mexican take out in York with a difference from the rest. Serving up Mexican Food to enjoy inside and to take out.”

You will find Smokehouse Burritos on the Shambles Market Food Court, with lots of other outlets for street food. It’s takeout only but there are some outdoor benches to bag if you are lucky.
