We live very close to Millington and have visited The Gait Inn, Millington many times over the years. It’s a lovely country pub in a stunning location. It’s perfect for Sunday Lunch or the destination pub-at-the-end-of-the-walk through Millington Pastures or Millington Woods.

It’s lovely inside too – very cosy. I haven’t got any photos inside but I will take some on my next visit and update this post. They have lots of good classic pub food. On our last visit we tried the Homemade Beef Lasagne. As you can see in the photo, the portions and plentiful and it came with good chips!

We also tried the Homemade Pie of the Day, which in this case was a steak pie (my favourite!).
Price-wise, I think they are good value. The lasagne is currently £15 while the steak pie is £14.
They hold regular events such as specials for Mother’s and Father’s Day. They also have a celebration for Yorkshire Day and an annual beer festival!

Oh, and they are dog friendly.

You will find outdoor seating in front of the pub as well as a couple of beer garden spaces behind the pub.
They also have a massive car park, so you won’t have to worry about where to park!
