Rosa’s Thai is a new Thai restaurant that has opened at the end of Coney Street (opposite The Ivy and to the left of the Mansion House).

We visited this week to try out their lunch menu. It’s lovely and light inside, and also has street seating outside.  The staff were lovely and friendly too.

To start with, we tried the Classic Sharing Platter which was a lovely mix of Chicken satay, Rosa’s homemade spring rolls, Pork skewers, Thai calamari and Prawn crackers.

My guest then ordered the Rosa’s Fried Rice (Khao Pad) with chicken (Fragrant jasmine rice, stir-fried in
homemade sauce with eggs, onion, spring greens)

While I ordered the Rosa’s Red Pineapple Curry (Gaeng supparod).   This is described as “Our signature dish. Spicy & ever so slightly sweet curry, with tangy pineapple & sweet basil.”

I chose Coconut Rice to go with this dish.

I must also mention that Rosa’s do takeaway and delivery.  We tried a takeaway of Pad Thai and the Mussoman curry and both were excellent.  If I was to recommend one dish I would say go for the Mussoman curry – lovely creamy sauce with new potatoes and cashew nuts and not too spicy.

We were invited to visit and review Rosa’s Thai.  As always all opinions are my own.
