York Cycle Rally
20th & 22nd June 2025 at the Knavesmire, York
This is the 80th anniversary of the historic York Rally being in York – it started in 1945 – and we’re looking forward to a good one!
- Entry and parking are still completely free of charge, as are a whole series of led rides and most activities on site. There’s a family atmosphere, all are welcome with or without a bike, and it’s a great low-cost family activity for anyone in or near York! And still 100% volunteer organised and not for profit.
- New this year: even more for children and young riders! Focus Rides are bringing balance bike racing and an airbag jumps set-up, which should be great to watch as well as for those taking part! And Apex Cycle Coaching return with U16s skills sessions. For each of these there is just a small fee to participate, to cover costs and insurance.
- Also new this year – an expanded Show and Shine competition for the best classic bikes! All pre-2000 bikes are welcome to enter, any style or category!
- We’ve a superb turn-out of traders and club displays, we think a record for recent years. We even have an exhibitor coming over from the Netherlands with a truck-load of parts for classic and retro bike collectors and restorers…
- And there’s two days of cycle jumbles, live music, talks, a huge programme of led rides, two days of grasstrack racing to watch, and much more!
