The Old Liquor Store

The Old Liquor Store is a brand new restaurant on Bishopthorpe Road in the old Terry’s building.
They serve an Italian inspired menu and are open Wednesday to Sunday serving an all day menu and small plates. They also do a Sunday Brunch and Sunday Dinner.
We enjoyed a cosy lunch here and saw two dogs on different tables enjoying themselves.

North South are a relaxed cafe bar on Bootham. They are dog friendly and even keep a jar of dog treats for their canine customers – check their Facebook page for details. “if you enjoy great quality food, snacks, coffees, beers, wines and a chilled atmosphere, you will feel right at home in North South.”

Cosy Club has a lovely vintage vibe and some very comfy sofas. Dogs welcome! “Step inside to a generous bar area to cater for every thirst, sitting just in front of our ground floor restaurant, secluded and comfortable. It’s also hard to miss our staircase which leads to a gorgeous top floor restaurant The Red Carpet, which is available for private hire and events. From here you can enjoy a handsome little spot to people watch on those in the bar.”

“Plush Café is an independent business located on Stonegate, right in the beautiful historic centre of York.
