If you’re heading to the Grand Opera House this week for a bit of theatre that’s more glitter than grim, Here & Now delivers a feel-good, sing-along musical night centred on the hits of Steps — 5, 6, 7, 8, One for Sorrow, Stomp etc. It’s not just a pop concert, but a full (ish) story built around them set in a supermarket called Better Best Bargains where Friday nights are for dancing… and drama.
Expect a jukebox musical with proper sparkle: colourful costumes, slick choreography, and loads of those familiar Steps tunes. 
We absolutely loved the final mega-mix – everyone was up on their feet at the end! There’s definitely laughs, tears and toe-tapping aplenty — and if you’ve ever wanted to dance in your seat, this is the show that invites it.
At the Grand Opera House, this kind of pop-theatre mash-up feels right at home — it’s a professional touring production that fills this classic venue with energy and colour. If you’re planning a night in York with the girls, a date night or a family treat, it ticks all the right boxes for a fun, feel-good evening.
