This week we visited the family run Casa Brazilian Rodizio for the very first time. If you’ve never tried a rodizio before, it’s a Brazilian steakhouse where the steak is carved from skewers at your table.

As well as the steak (and other meats) which I will get onto in a moment, there is also a huge hot and cold salad bar where you can help yourself.

This doesn’t just include salad! There are all manner of things including breads and potatoes and even more meat dishes like this beef brisket (according to their website there are 40+ dishes).

For seafood lovers, I also saw a plate of prawns!  I’ve added lots more salad bar photos at the end of this article (just so I didn’t swamp the review!).

Oh and I mustn’t forget there are cheeses and cured meats – basically there is everything you can possibly want!

The star attraction though are the grilled meats that are carved at your table. Each diner has a card on the table which indicates to the servers whether to bring more food or not in a simple green/red stop/go sign.

Make sure you wear your loosest trousers because you will leave the restaurant stuffed!

It’s a one price deal which is different depending on what time of day you go. The lunch time menu includes 10 different options such as rump steak, caramelised pork belly, peri peri chicken, gammon and leg of lamb.

On an evening the same dishes are available in addition to eight extra dishes like top sirloin, pork collar and fillet steak.

They also serve daily specials.  When we visited it was the below beef ribs (divine!).

Make sure you save some room for the cinnamon roasted pineapple which is also served on a skewer as this was delicious!

There are also a range of desserts available.  We tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

There is a large cocktail list with drinks like Brazilian Caipirinhas, Piña Coladas and Mojitos to enhance that holiday vibe!

Lastly, I should mention these chicken croquettes and this gorgeous, light and fluffy cheese bread.  It’s made with Cassava flour which makes it perfect for those who are gluten-free.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a lively holiday vibe with Brazilian music playing in the background.

Ok, more salad bar photos!
